With having the do not call list in the states you would think people are more protected, but in some cases they are not. For us people in the UK, we have even less to stop it. Recently, there have been a number calls from companies saying we are entitled to a discount on a product and various other types of calls.
These calls are really due to details being given out by certain companies and then of course they spread. I've just put ACR (Anonymous Caller Rejection) on the main phone line because on Monday alone there were two calls which I answered that were commercial and unwanted.
At least now we'll be protected but should we really have to pay for a service to stop calls that should not really be coming through anyway? There should be a law to prevent it!Post ID: 449, posted by jase at 07:32 PM
