These spammers even bother. Like, I delete all spam comments that slip through the net, fairly quickly - so there is not much point. On another spam related note, Thunderbird seems to be doing a good job at filtering.
What I'll probably end up doing is redirecting mail which currently sits on various boxes all towards a single account, which I then check via POP3 or either forward to Gmail or Yahoo, which will allow for good spam filtering. Thunderbird provides a good level but it is not available from anywhere, which is an advantage that webmail has.
