XPde Linux desktop

I've seen this not so long ago, but just noticed a post on Slashdot about it.
As designed it looks much like Windows XP, it's basically eye candy. Just a desktop and window manager that looks like XP. It'll be a nice way for a newbie to make the transition to Linux or just start using it as well.

Take a look at the screen shots, quite nice.

And if you like the look of it, then go & download it.

There is also the XFce environment, which is also looking quite nice. Maybe it is time for the desktops of the *nix world to become more alive with colours?
