HDD Storage

Whilst browsing Slashdot today, I noticed a post regarding a story on new HDD storage techniques. Current technology is always being replaced and although in the HDD world new technologies have allowed for faster access times and more storage, the backbone of the storage method in the drives has not really changed.

Until now...

This article talks about the changes. An interesting read...with drive capacity in the 200+gb volumes already, it makes you wonder what will be the entry level capacity of desktop pc's in the near future!

I think we'll need all this extra capacity, with all the P2P based downloading most of us do these days!
